Liang Dynasty (502–557) was one of the Southern Dynasties in China established by Emperor Wu 武帝. Based on history, there were two locations set as the capital of the empire. First, Jiankang 建康(502-552, 555-557) and second, Jiangling County 江陵 (552-555).

There are a lot of names referring to one person in the story. People who are not familiar with the culture might be easily confused as to why would one person have three to four references? How to differentiate them?
Shapolang is a kind of horoscope sign from Zi Wei Dou Shu, a Chinese fortune telling that traces back thousands of years ago. It was rumoured to have been invented by Lü Chunyang in Tang dynasty and the system was enhanced by Chen Xiyi in Song dynasty
Readers might be confused as to how Guyun and Changgeng are related, especially after reading up till chapter 16. Guyun is son of the Late Marquis and Eldest Princess while Changgeng is the Fourth Prince of the current Emperor. How are they related?
Regarding the Barbarians and the titles they hold:
Priest mentions the ‘alpha wolf’ of the Barbarians, Ge Tu, as 王爷 (Wang Ye) in the novel and mentions Jialai Yinghuo as 世子 (Shi Zi). If the Barbarians were scorned at, why did they possess noble titles? The jade Xiuniang gave to Changgeng has a significance that is frequently overlooked.
